Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account on Nivasity or using our marketplace, wallet, or any related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform.
2. Eligibility
Nivasity is available to enrolled students of Nigerian universities who can verify their identity with a valid university email address (.edu.ng). Verified Vendor accounts are available to registered campus businesses that pass our vetting process.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current information during registration. Nivasity reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Marketplace Conduct
Users agree to list items honestly and accurately. Prohibited items include weapons, controlled substances, stolen goods, counterfeit items, and any goods prohibited by Nigerian law. Nivasity reserves the right to remove any listing that violates our policies.
5. Niva-Pay & Escrow
Niva-Pay facilitates secure transactions through an escrow-lite system. Funds are held until the buyer confirms receipt of goods. Nivasity is not a bank and does not provide financial services beyond the escrow facilitation described herein. Wallet balances are denominated in Nigerian Naira (₦).
6. Safety & Meetups
Nivasity strongly recommends all in-person exchanges occur at designated Niva-Safe campus zones. We are not responsible for incidents that occur during meetups, but we provide tools and guidelines to maximize safety.
7. Limitation of Liability
Nivasity acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers. We do not own, inspect, or guarantee the quality of listed items. All transactions are between users. Nivasity's liability is limited to the facilitation of the escrow service.
8. Modifications
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
